Railroad board games
BOXCARS is a 2-3 hour railroad game where players travel historical rail lines, build railroad empires, and race to reach Home after accumulating enough wealth. Marketed by Rio Grande Games, BOXCARS has two versions: the original one depicting 28 historic U.S. railways circa 1950, and a new version on the flip side of the board a depicting 21 historic British railways circa 1920. Rail buffs and skilled game buffs alike have found BOXCARS to be both informative and great fun. Tom's uncle devised the game's concept in the 1957, and Tom produced the first commercial version in 1974. The Avalon Hill Game Company marketed it as "Rail Baron" from 1977 to 1998. BOXCARS can be ordered through Amazon.
